What is ART®?

ART is an effective treatment for soft tissue injuries. Using a
hands on approach, practitioners are able to locate, diagnose and
treat a variety of soft tissue damage due to injuries, overuse and/or
cumulative trauma. ART® is one of the most sought after soft
tissue treatments in the world. ART® is neither physiotherapy
nor massage. Those procedures relieve muscle and motor dysfunction,
but do not necessarily address the underlying problem caused by
scar tissue formation. In contrast, ART® protocol is designed
to remove scar tissue and adhesions.
Who provides Active Release Technique®?

ART® is one of the most sought after soft tissue treatments
in the world. Proficiency at ART® takes a strong commitment
of time, resources and effort. Accredited individuals must go through
training and testing and be re-certified on a yearly basis.
What is a treatment like?

ART® is a noninvasive treatment that has a history of great
success. Treatments can be uncomfortable as a duplication of pain
sensation may be felt, this is a good indication that the problem
has been identified. Your initial visit to the office will take
close to an hour and subsequent visits will be about fifteen minutes.
We recommend that you wear comfortable clothing that allows free
movement.
What conditions can ART® help?

Injuries, muscle weakness, tenderness or soreness, poor flexibility,
chronic muscle or joint pain. Adhesions or scar tissue prevent your
muscles from performing at their peak, therefore, ART® will
enable you to perform at a higher level. This is why ART® will
not affect your quality of life, but is an exceptional way to enhance
your performance in any activities or sports. Many people that have
“tried it all” but haven’t had any relief have
found that Active Release Technique has been a successful method
of treatment.
